Book Launch Show Recap

Book Launch Show Recap

Many thanks to everyone who participated in our book launch show Monday night. It was a brutal night for an event—with temperatures around zero and heavy snow frozen on the streets. So I’m especially grateful to everybody who braved winter and helped make the event such a nice time.

Those who couldn’t attend have asked how it went, so here’s a recap.

Our show consisted of two sets—a reading and a musical performance. I read a collection of scenes from How to Love in a World Like This, with musical backing from The Night Painters. There was a little slide show to add to the mood. We had never done this before, which made the performance extra fun. After the reading, The Night Painters did a fantastic set of original music, old and new.

So, thank you to: the incredibly talented Night Painters, Scott McIntosh and his wonderful staff at Big Grove, Laura who so adeptly handled operations, and Charlie for taking photographs. But especially big thanks to the lovely people who came out and attended the show and supported the band. It warmed our hearts on a cold evening.

A few short videos below, to give you a sense for the event. Remember to check out The Night Painters music! And, if you’ve read How To Love and liked it, please consider leaving a review on Amazon and Goodreads—it only takes a minute, but has a big impact.

Have a good one,

Kipling Knox
